Rekindling the hope for human connection.

Developed by Anne Basting (PhD) in 1998, the TimeSlips Project has generated hundreds of stories and produced plays, books, and art exhibits--all celebrating the humanity of people with cognitive disabilities.

The Process: TimeSlips is a group process that opens storytelling to people with cognitive challenges by replacing the pressure to remember with the encouragement to imagine.

The Stories:  Stories capture the hopes, dreams, regrets, fears, humor, and desires of people with memory loss, and help them connect with staff, family, and friends.

Training Models: Our lively, interactive trainings explore the meaning and value of creative expression, the basics of dementia and person-centered care, the storytelling method, and models for sharing stories with one's community.

Our Products: We offer a training manual, dvd, and sample images to start you on your way toward creative engagement.
